Local vaccination centres run by GPs will open this week across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire as the NHS continues its phased roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine.
People living in Wiltshire who are eligible for the coronavirus vaccine should wait to be contacted by the NHS, instead of calling their local hospital or GP practice directly.
The Wiltshire Council local authority area has been confirmed to be in the Government’s Covid-19 Tier 2 ‘high’ category, which will replace the national restrictions on 2 December.
A new national initiative is encouraging people to contact NHS 111 before travelling to hospital or minor injuries treatment unit when seeking urgent and emergency care.
